Welcome.
This web site is the starting point from which you can learn about me and my practice of psychotherapy. I utilize a goal-oriented, relational, creative approach. My practice is guided by intensive training in Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, ecotherapy and a lifetime in the creative arts. The above menu provides the information you will need to make an informed decision. If you have ever felt that you are different somehow from others, and feel misunderstood, unseen, we might be a good fit for therapy work.
My practice is guided by the insight and emotional experiencing of Schema Therapy and the coping skills of DBT blended with writing, the natural environment, and myriad forms of creativity. Our work will be relational, goal-oriented, and creative, backed by the belief that each therapy session is a journey.
My background in the creative arts, combined with my love for the nature world, animals, and interest in how psychology and environment interplay, is to me the key to reconnecting with Self and others. I specialize in work with adult individuals, teens, college/university students, as well as artistic and tech/science collaborations or teams.
I am licensed in California, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and provide online telemedicine sessions. I provide limited office hours in Linwood, New Jersey. (NOTE: all sessions are conducted via Telehealth due to Covid-19 restrictions until further notice.)
To set up an initial consultation for in-person or telemedicine sessions, please contact me at (415) 685-3894 or via the form listed under the Contact tab. I look forward to hearing from you.

On Covid-19: A therapist's perspective on the pandemic

To be great, be whole: don't exaggerate
Or leave out any part of you.
Be complete in each thing. Put all you are
Into the least of your acts.
-Fernando Pessoa, 1933
May what I do flow from me like a river,
no forcing and no holding back,
the way it is with children.
