My web site is the starting point from which you can learn about me and my practice of psychotherapy. I utilize a goal-oriented, relational, creative approach. My practice is guided by intensive training in Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, ecotherapy and a lifetime in the creative arts. The above menu provides the information you will need to make an informed decision.
I work with a range of approaches that blend the insight and deep, emotional experiencing of schema therapy and the coping skills of DBT with writing, nature exploration, and myriad forms of creativity.
My love of the outdoors, and belief we are all part of and responsible for "nature" is foundational to emotional healing. Reconnecting with nature is essential to healing ourselves and our environment, and climate stress is real.
In addition to working with individual, family and relationship stressors, anxiety, depression, quality of life, work, and self-esteem struggles, I provide supportive and engaged therapy to those experiencing climate anxiety and despair.
I am licensed in California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York (pending) and provide online telemedicine sessions. I provide limited office hours in Linwood, New Jersey. (NOTE: all sessions are conducted via Telehealth due to Covid-19 restrictions until further notice.)
To set up an initial consultation for in-person or telemedicine sessions, please contact me at (415) 685-3894 or via the form listed under the Contact tab. I look forward to hearing from you.

On Covid-19: A therapist's perspective on the pandemic
To be great, be whole: don't exaggerate
Or leave out any part of you.
Be complete in each thing. Put all you are
Into the least of your acts.
-Fernando Pessoa, 1933
May what I do flow from me like a river,
no forcing and no holding back,
the way it is with children.
